The F&F is very versatile, casts everything I have with absolute ease. Current line: SA MT WF4F or SA Trout Stalker WF4F It can handle the typical trout flies including small lighter streamers. Beyond that it requires a very good / patient stroke. I know its not apples to apples but I find the Superfine 490-4 to be 'magical' anywhere from 10 - 50 ft or so. Specific to your question, I have the current Superfine Touch 490-4, an older Far & Fine 7'9' 5wt & a Zenith 10' 3wt.
Most of my rods fall in the moderate action genre, since I find that action to suit my casting style well.
